Kenneth Stein Violins maintains a small collection of violins, violas, and cellos for rental. These instruments are properly set up and maintained in order to help students get the most out of their studies. Violins and violas are set up with Dominant or Evah Parazzi strings and Spirocore or Larsen strings for cello.
The minimum rental commitment is for three months, which is automatically renewed every three months until you return the rental instrument. Included with the instrument are a bow, case and rosin. Sponges, shoulder rests, rock stops and all other additional accessories are sold separately.
Rental Fees are taken quarterly (every three months) by Visa or MasterCard only.

Rental equipment is insured against damage. Theft claims must be accompanied by a police report. Theft from unattended vehicle is not insured. Broken strings are not covered by insurance. Damaged equipment is only to be repaired by Kenneth Stein Violins. Customer will be held responsible for costs incurred in rectifying repairs done by anyone else.
Customers can purchase at anytime. There is no charge for terminating your contract, but there are no refunds for partial quarters. All of the rental fee can be applied to the purchase of this or any other same type of instrument from our shop, for up to 40% of the price of the purchase.
